We do not undertake free pitches for projects with a production budget below US$250K.

How much does SEED charge for paid pitches?
20% of the projects overall production budget.

How long does a project take?
Planning and Concept phase (see “How do we work”) will take between 2 – 4 weeks regardless of the media we are working in: film; packaging or print etc. Thereafter, the projects timeframe will be determined by our clients’ specific requirements.

You are a multi-disciplined agency. Does this mean you do everything?
No. We decline projects that are focused on one-to-one advertising such as Direct Mail. These generally involve database systems and loyalty programmes that other agencies are better placed to provide.

Do you book media?
No. All bookings are handled by our clients’ media agency of record.

Where do you work?
SEED creates projects from our offices in London and Singapore. These offices manage projects on a domestic, regional and global level through our client’s regional offices.

How do you work?
Regardless of the media SEED is working in: film; packaging or print, the structure of the project remains the same. Each project begins once a client accepts the written proposal outlining the scope of the project, its budget, schedule, and the terms under which it will be executed.

Each project has 5 stages that need to be approved by the client before moving to the next stage of each project. These stages are:

PHASE 1. PLANNING: This phase is concerned with gathering information
and establishing the criteria. It often requires spending time with the client to refine the needs, objectives, and problems agreed upon in the initial proposal.

PHASE 2. CONCEPT: After SEED and the client have reached an agreement concerning the projects objectives, ideas are created that meet these objectives. This result’s in a presentation showing only those ideas that SEED feels are viable, appropriate, and meet the client’s objectives. The style of this presentation is dependent on the final media SEED is working in. No more than 3 ideas are presented at this stage with all Copywriting presented as headlines only.

PHASE 3. DEVELOPMENT: At this stage, SEED develops the accepted ideas, which will typically include the overall look and feel of the  elements: use of photography or illustration; colour; typography; and use of copy. A final
presentation is made to the client explaining the development. Any changes in budget and/or schedule are agreed upon at this point.

PHASE 4. IMPLEMENTATION: This stage is traditionally referred to as Finished Artwork. All decisions on all related art directions, including commissioned illustrations and photography, typography, copywriting, layouts or digital files, and all other elements, are final at this point. Said elements are prepared for digital or print production by a Finished Artist under the supervision of a Designer. The client is sent a hardcopy for final approval before going to production.

PHASE 5. PRODUCTION: Depending on the end media(s) SEED has been commissioned to produce, this phase may be a matter of going on press, supervising the fabrication or manufacturing products, or overseeing editing and post-production. After the end product is approved, the project is considered finished. Costs related to production or printing are the responsibility of the client.
